Zim Zam Zimmy were asked by Richard Knight of yourperfectday.net to re-design and replace their existing site. The challenge would prove to be twofold: Firstly the tired old design needed replacing to correcly reflect the videographer's talents whilst providing a showcase for them. Secondly the original site built purely in FLASH was not fulfilling his clients requirements, it was not easily updatable and not performing well with search engines.
The process involved two key stages; Firstly we needed to understand clearly the clients very specific objectives in order to build a site that delivered his requirements. Secondly we needed to work closey with Richard to fully understand how he felt yourperfectday.net should be visually interpreted in order to create a site thats not only more informative but also more attractive to his target market.
We had two very clear objectives to achieve in the construction of this site. Firstly it had to be SEO friendly, Secondly the client needed to be able to update areas of the site on a consistent basis himself. Having researched various options, we decided to implement a solution that offered the client a cost effective SEO friendly CMS driven website.
A cost-effective website that will help successfully grow their business via natural search, in a tough economic climate.
Zim Zam Zimmy will continue to work with Richard Knight to evolve the site. There are also several other projects in the pipeline set to go live in the new year.
