- The Challenge

Zim zam zimmy where asked to design and build a e-commerce site for Paul Vogel, a leading textile designer for the likes of Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Etro, Missoni , Marc Jacobs and Donna Karan to name but a few. The challenge would prove to be about creating an accessible design that reflected the quality of Vogel's craftmanship and brand, yet was suffiecintly neutral to allow the stunning
bedlinen designs to take centre stage and draw the eye in. - The Process

The Process was twofold. Firstly, designing this site was all about getting inside Paul Vogel's head, understanding his vision, teasing ideas out of him in order to produce a design that reflected his world. Secondly we needed to consider how to build the site and to find a viable solution that was low-budget but really delivered.
- The Construction

Having researched various options, we decided to implement a solution that offered us the most accessible and user friendly outcome. Not only did we deliver bang for buck, but it the solution also aimed to provide an invaluable platform for the future. Behind the scenes we created a system that not only manages stock levels, postage cost and notification emails, but also allows us to add new product ranges and generate promotional codes.
- The Result

A solid, low budget entry level e-commerce site that reflects the quality of Paul Vogel's skills. The site is now generating steady revenue and gaining in page rank.
- The Future

With several promotions going live this autumn, we hope to facilitate sales in these tough economic times. At the turn of the year we should be seeing new product ranges being introduced. We also hope to be working closely with Paul Vogel behind the scenes to increase SEO and drive more traffic and conversions. We are also currently in the process of developing the Paul Vogel stand alone site.
